Agent Apps
Read-only data apps your agent can use when it decides, such as Allora, CoinMarketCap, Nansen, and OpenMarket.
Agent Apps are the data sources and tools an agent can use while it decides. An app can read markets. It cannot trade, move funds, or change your agent's limits.
The template decides which apps an agent uses. When you deploy a template, its apps come with it. You do not add apps to an agent yourself.
Apps today
| App | What it gives the agent |
|---|---|
| Allora | Price forecasts from the Allora network, per asset and horizon |
| CoinMarketCap | Market sentiment (fear and greed), derivatives funding, market regime, and technicals |
| Nansen | Smart-money positioning and wallet flows |
| OpenMarket | Price candles and market data |
| OpenMarket Metrics | Indicators computed from OpenMarket data |
New apps are added to the catalog over time. Each one is reviewed before an agent can use it.
Data and tools
An app can give an agent two kinds of help.
| Data | Tools | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Signals the agent reads at every check-in | Actions the agent calls while it thinks, when it wants more detail |
| Who picks it | The template's playbook names it with @ | The template turns on up to 3 apps with tools |
| Limits | Set by the template | At most 6 tool calls per check-in |
A signal can set direction (long or short, yes or no), filter (skip a trade when a condition fails), or add context (something the agent weighs). Context moves a decision only when the agent decides, not when the template's engine decides.
Only some apps offer tools. Today these are CoinMarketCap, OpenMarket, and OpenMarket Metrics.
Where you see them
- Apps in the dashboard sidebar lists each app, what it measures, the tools it offers, and the agents that use it. It appears once Agent Apps is open for your account.
- On an agent, About this agent shows the data sources and tools that agent uses.
- Creators pick apps in the template wizard under Data connectors. See Data and tools.
App usage is part of your plan. You do not pay per app or per call.
